I-40 ramp in Garner to close nightly until Wednesday
Weather permitting, lane closures will be in place on the ramp from U.S. 70 West to Interstate 40 West from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
A portion of a ramp onto Interstate 40 will be closed nightly so contractors can conduct ground testing as part of the Complete 540 project.
Weather permitting, lane closures will be in place on the ramp from U.S. 70 West to Interstate 40 West from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m. Sunday through Wednesday.
Drivers should use Exit 309 to U.S. 70 East to Exit 320 N.C. 42 West to return to I-40 East.
This is early work for the N.C. Turnpike Authority’s effort to construct the eastern portion of the project, which will extend the Triangle Expressway (Toll N.C. 540) from Interstate 40 to Interstate 87.
Drivers are encouraged to slow down and pay attention to our crews in all work zones.
