Human remains found near highway in Catawba County
The remains were found off of NC 150 near Sherrills Ford.
The Catawba County Sherriff's Office is investigating human remains that were found near a highway.
The remains were found near a creek off NC 150 south of Sherrills Ford. The victim has not been identified at this time and no information has been provided on how old the person might have been or how long the remains were there.
It's unclear if the remains were the result of foul play.
Catawba County deputies are continuing to investigate. More information will be provided when it is available.
