Brenda Davis, 59, was walking her dog at 7:20 p.m. when she was struck along the 6200 block of Hackberry Drive, in the Village Green Apartments, police said.

Davis remained in critical condition at Cape Fear Valley Medical Center on Monday.

Evidence from the crash scene indicated that the vehicle is burgundy in color, and the vehicle should have minor to medium front-end damage, police said.
