Man charged with murder from Fayetteville shooting
A man has been arrested after police found a man was shot and killed in Fayetteville over the weekend.
Police responded to a 911 call for shots fired along the 3000 block of Tamarack Drive on Saturday morning.
When officers arrived, they found a man, later identified as 41-year-old Garon Webb of Fayetteville, had been shot multiple times. Webb was pronounced dead on scene.
On Tuesday, Kortne Melvin was charged in connection with the shooting. Melvin was charged with first-degree murder and is being held at the Cumberland County Detention Center under no bond.
Less than an hour before police responded to this incident, another man was found shot to death on Pamalee Drive – less than three miles away.
