Green Hope started the year No. 1 and it ended the year No. 1 in the HighSchoolOT boys tennis rankings. The Falcons were a perfect 21-0 on the year, winning the N.C. High School Athletic Association 4A championship.

The Falcons' girls were the No. 1 team in the fall rankings, giving Green Hope a sweep of both final statewide top 25 tennis rankings.

Just across town, Cary Academy — also a state champion — was second, never falling farther than third all year. 4A runner-up Providence was third, and Providence Day, which fell to Cary Academy in the N.C. Independent Schools Athletic Association D1 title, was fourth. Cardinal Gibbons, the 4A East runner-up, was fifth.

In total, there are six state champions represented in the final top 25 rankings (NCISAA D3 champ Davidson Day didn't crack the statewide list but did make the 704's area code ranking):

The full rankings — a statewide Top 25 and Top 15 rankings for each of the state’s six area codes — are below. Any school that plays in an education-based association is eligible for the rankings, including homeschool teams. This is the first year of this format, while previous years were split into East and West divisions.
