Just in time for Wednesday's Carolina Hurricanes season opener, PNC Arena has released a list of new food and beverage options.

On Monday, we broke the news that Buena Papa Fry Bar has opened its gourmet French fries in Section 301.

In addition, you can indulge your sweet tooth in Section 105 at The Candy Jar, the home of "The Refillable Candy Jar." This self-serve candy station has a variety of assorted candies and pre-packaged novelty items.

“We’re excited to share our new food and beverage selections for guests attending events at PNC Arena, including Carolina Hurricanes and NC State Men’s Basketball games,” said Don Waddell, PNC Arena and Carolina Hurricanes President. “Our team continues to navigate opportunities to enhance the guest experience, and we are proud to introduce these new offerings.”

Happy and Hale is opening in Section 123 on Oct. 28. The restaurant is known for its healthy bowls and drinks. Primo Hoagies will also open on Oct. 28. Look for their Italian specialty sandwiches in Section 329.

Two current vendors are also increasing their footprints in at the arena.

Buffalo Brothers Pizza & Wing Co. currently operates the Buffalo Brothers Zone on the north end of the arena in Section 318. Starting Oct. 28, they are adding a site in Section 114.

R&D Tavern, an expansion of R&D Brewing’s footprint within the venue., will open Oct. 28 in Section 322. It will feature seasonal rotations as well as traditional flavors, including Storm Brew the Official Team Beer of the Carolina Hurricanes.

These vendors join a long list of current food options including Chick-Fil-A, PDQ, Shake Shack, NC BBQ Company, Sausage Stop, Tres Tacos and Raising the Steak.

More than half of the food and beverage concession locations at PNC Arena are operated by non-profit organizations.

The Carolina Hurricanes open their regular season 7 p.m. Wednesday against the Columbus Blue Jackets.
