A Greenville woman is facing several crimes related to the human trafficking of a teenage girl.

WITN reports Christina Mills, 40, was charged with human trafficking of a child victim, second-degree forcible rape, first-degree kidnapping and sexual servitude of a child victim.

Mills was arrested Saturday by Pitt County deputies.

According to warrants, the crimes happened on April 2 and the 17-year-old was “mentally incapacitated.”

Deputies said their investigation began April 5 when they were requested to check on the welfare of the girl who appeared to be suffering from some mental health issues. The teen told deputies she was the victim of human trafficking.

Mills is being held on a $1 million bond at the Pitt County jail.
