A resident of a Greenville apartment complex was charged after a crash that started a fire, according to police.

Officers with the Greenville Police Department on Sunday responded to a fire at The Landing apartments at 1920 Exchange Drive.

According to the Greenville Police Department, a resident of The Landing, John Kevin Ruscik, struck an HVAC unit that started a fire.

Ruscik, 21, was charged with DWI.
