Greensboro woman drowns in hot tub at a Myrtle Beach resort, police say

A 57-year-old woman drowned at a Myrtle Beach resort Tuesday morning, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

A 57-year-old woman drowned at a Myrtle Beach resort Tuesday morning, according to a Myrtle Beach police report.

Chief Deputy Coroner Tamara Willard identified the woman as Paula Egelston from Greensboro, WMBF reported.

Police responded to The Patricia Grand at 2710 North Ocean Boulevard just before 4 a.m. after a witness in a nearby hotel saw a person face down in a hot tub.

First responders pulled Egleston from the water and attempted CPR, but were unable to revive her.

Officers assisted hotel security with CPR until EMS arrived on scene.
