Granville farmer dies after tree falls on him
Linville Strother, of Franklinton, was riding on a tractor and other farm equipment on farmland on Grove Hill Road when the incident occur ed, Wilkins said.
An 84-year-old farmer died Friday afternoon when a pecan tree was blown onto him during a thunderstorm, Granville County Sheriff Brindel Wilkins said.
Linville Strother, of Franklinton, was riding on a tractor and other farm equipment on farmland on Grove Hill Road when the incident occur ed, Wilkins said.
Strother died at the scene.
