GoTriangle schedule changes coming in August for bus routes

GoTriangle will have new schedule changes that were cut due to the national bus operator shortage.

Under the program called Transit Connect, GoTriangle will pay up to $10 for bus riders to take either Uber or Lyft the last mile or so from to and from work. Rides that extend outside the RTP zone won’t be free.

Starting Aug. 6, GoTriangle is set make schedule changes to its route times that were cut due to the national bus operator shortage.

Route DRX schedule changes will start Monday, Aug. 7. Route 805 will be restored to 30-minute weekday service on Aug. 7. All other service changes that run on Saturdays will go into effect on Saturday, Aug. 12.

Route Schedule Changes

  • Route 100 Raleigh-RDU Airport: Route 100 will be restored to 30-minute service between the Regional Transit Center in Durham and GoRaleigh Station in downtown Raleigh from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Route 100 will provide hourly service, including Raleigh Durham International (RDU) Airport as a stop on the service from the Regional Transit Center to GoRaleigh Station.
  • RDU Shuttle: The RDU Shuttle will operate 30-minute service between the Regional Transit Center and RDU Airport from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m. Starting at 6:30 p.m., Route 100 will provide hourly service including RDU Airport as a stop on the service from the Regional Transit Center to GoRaleigh Station.
  • Route 400 Durham-Chapel Hill: Route will have a schedule change to provide a 30-minute Saturday service.
  • Route 700 Durham-Regional: Route will have a schedule change to provide a 30-minute Saturday service.
  • Route 800 Chapel Hill-Southpoint Regional: Route will have a schedule change to provide a 30-minute Saturday service.
  • Route 805 Chapel Hill-Woodcroft Regional: Route will have a schedule change to provide a 30-minute weekday service.
  • Route DRX Durham-Raleigh Express: Route will have a schedule change to provide a 15-minute service, and the route will continue to be temporarily detoured to serve the District Drive Park and Ride in Raleigh.

Routes 300, 305 and WRX will be detoured to help promote safety.
