Goldsboro woman accused of inappropriate relationship with teen

A Goldsboro woman was arrested Monday on charges that she had a sexual relationship with a 14-year-old girl.

Tammi Nichole Cross, 21, of 810 N. Herman St., faces two counts each of statutory sex offense and indecent liberties with a minor.

Police said the girl's mother filed a sexual assault report on May 25. Cross, authorities said, is an acquaintance of the girl.

Cross was jailed under a $1 million bond and is expected to appear in a Wayne County courtroom on Tuesday.
