Girl's Night Out: Cary concert raises money for Kay Yow Cancer Fund
Enjoy a girl's night out Saturday evening at Booth Amphitheatre while raising money for the Kay Yow Cancer Fund.
Girl's Night Out will feature singer-songwriters KT Tunsstall, known for her 2004 hit "Black Horse and the Cherry Tree," Judith Hill, who sang with Michael Jackson, Haley Johnsen, Rodes and Jeanne Jolly, a Raleigh singer who picked up the guitar and turned her mourning into music when her mother died from ovarian cancer.
The show is at 7 p.m. Lawn seats start at $34.50 and are available on etix.
A portion of all ticket sales will benefit the Raleigh-based Kay Yow Cancer Fund created in honor of N.C. State University's gold medal-winning women's basketball coach. Yow was diagnosed with breast cancer in 1987 and died in 2009.
Since its inception, the fund has awarded $7.8 million to scientific research grants and programs fighting all cancers affecting women.
