A warning for fans of Garner's Scotty McCreery.

A Georgia woman thought she was exchanging messages on Instagram with the real country music artist, but it was actually a fraud. She thought she was telling him about her passion for helping others. That's when the fraudster offered her an opportunity to work with his charity foundation.

"His management was going to send me an email with my first assignment and then if I did that, it would prove my worthiness," said the woman, who did not want to be identified.

She said the so-called management team asked her to send $11,500 worth of IPhones, gift cards and cash to an address in New Jersey. From there, another member of the charity foundation would take over.
