Gas leak closes portion of Poole Road in Raleigh

Poole Road was closed for several hours in Raleigh following a gas leak Thursday afternoon.

A PSNC spokesman said a third-party crew working along the 1900 block of Poole Road damaged a natural gas line at about 1:45 p.m.

The leak was secured just before 4 p.m., but crews will still need to break through asphalt on the road to fully repair the line.

The road is expected to fully reopen by about 8 p.m.

No customers experienced interruptions in service during the incident, a PSNC spokesman said.
