Fuquay-Varina Man Dies in Motorcycle Wreck

A Fuquay-Varina man died in a motorcycle accident on an Apex road Tuesday evening, the state Highway Patrol confirmed.

Robert Lee Cope, 34, was driving along Bell's Lake Road when he lost control of his vehicle, troopers said. The motorcycle left the road and struck a culvert near Sawyers Mill Drive.

The impact threw Cope off the motorcycle, causing injuries that led to his death.

Speed was a factor, troopers said.
