A Spring Lake man has been charged following a months-long investigation by the Cumberland County Sheriff's Office over an alleged violation of the secret peeping statute.

On Tuesday, Andrew Nathaniel Gomez was charged with:

  • Disclosure of private images (five counts)
  • Secret peeping (three counts)
  • First-degree sexual exploitation of a minor (three counts)
  • Second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor (four counts)
  • Third-degree sexual exploitation of a minor (three counts)

The office said the update in the case stemmed from four people coming forward to talk about their experience with Gomez.

Gomez, 25, was processed in the Cumberland County Detention Center on a $130,000 secure bond. He made a court appearance on Tuesday afternoon.

In March, Gomez was arrested from allegations of recording himself having sex with women without their knowledge or consent. The sheriff's office said Gomez posted videos online of the encounters.
