Frontier expanding RDU service with flights to New York, Chicago, Miami

Frontier Airlines is expanding its service at Raleigh-Durham International Airport this spring, which is good news for travelers heading to New York, Chicago, Miami and Boston.

Frontier Airlines is expanding its service at Raleigh-Durham International Airport in the spring.

The airline is adding new routes for five destinations and starting direct service to Milwaukee.

Frontier will begin nonstop service from RDU to LaGuardia Airport (LGA) in New York, Logan International Airport (BOS) in Boston, Miami International Airport (MIA), Tampa International Airport (TPA) and Chicago-O’Hare International Airport (ORD) in April.

Frontier will also begin direct service from RDU to Milwaukee Mitchell International Airport (MKE) in May.

New Frontier Route Schedule

  • New York-LaGuardia (LGA) - starting April 10 - daily flights
  • Boston-Logan (BOS) - starting April 10 - four times per week
  • Miami (MIA) - starting April 10 - daily flights
  • Tampa (TPA) - starting April 10 - daily flights
  • Chicago-O’Hare (ORD) - starting April 10 - three times per week
  • Milwaukee (MKE) - starting May 16 - three times per week

“Frontier is growing along with RDU and we are excited to see them expand the destinations they serve in time for spring and summer travel,” said Michael Landguth, president and CEO of the Raleigh-Durham Airport Authority. “The new routes will offer travelers even more options for affordable getaways to favorite destinations and a new one in Milwaukee.”

When the new service begins, Frontier will serve 24 destinations from RDU.
