Four women were taken to the hospital Sunday morning after a large fight broke out at the Cook Out on New Bern Avenue in Raleigh.
Raleigh police said they responded to a fight Sunday morning involving about six people. Before 3 a.m., the call was upgraded to a stabbing call. When officers arrived, they found two women who had been cut.
Police said it started as a fender bender in the parking lot of the Cook Out, which escalated from an argument to a fight. Four women were involved, according to police, and all four went to the hospital for various injuries.
Police said only two women were cut during the fight; one woman had minor injuries, and the other had serious but non-life-threatening injuries. They were taken to WakeMed, and police said both victims are expected to recover.
Police said the woman who had the knife has been charged with assault with a deadly weapon inflicting serious injury. She is on the way to jail, police said.
The investigation is ongoing.
