Four from Lejeune die in Afghanistan

Four Camp Lejeune Marines died fighting in Afghanistan this week, the Department of Defense reported Friday.

Private First Class Eric Currier died Wednesday. The 21-year-old was from New Hampshire.

Three other Marines died Thursday. Lance Cpl. Larry Johnson, 19, was from Pennsylvania. Private First Class Kyle Coutu, 20, was from Rhode Island. Lance Cpl. Kielin T. Dunn, 19, was from Virginia.

All four died fighting in Helmand province, where a massive NATO offensive against the Taliban is under way.

Currier and Coutu were assigned to the 3rd Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.

Johnson belonged to the 2nd Combat Engineer Battalion, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force, and Dunn to the 1st Battalion, 6th Marine Regiment, 2nd Marine Division, II Marine Expeditionary Force.
