Former Harnett deputy, school resource officer charged with indecent liberties with a minor

A man who served as a Harnett County sheriff's deputy and school resource officer was charged Tuesday with five counts of indecent liberties with a minor.
William Mitchell Edge, 47, of Lillington, was a resource officer at Boone Trail Elementary School.
Authorities said he surrendered at the Harnett County Sheriff’s Office Tuesday and was issued a $150,000 unsecured bond.
