Five fire departments respond to house fire in Sampson County

Five fire departments responded to a house fire in Sampson County early Thursday morning.

Crews battled the fire at a home on the 2900 block of River Road, several miles south of Clinton.

Smoke could be seen coming from the back of the house.

Fire crews from Taylor‘s Bridge, Clinton, Turkey, Harrells, and Garland were all on the scene.

WRAL News is working to learn if anyone was injured or displaced by the fire.
