The training programs prepares moms (and dads) for a 5K, 10K or half marathon.

Raleigh Running Mamas, part of the Fit4Mom group of workout programs for women, will launch its running training programs next month.

The programs train women (and dads) to run in a 5K or 10K. The programs culminate with the group running in a race together.

The 10K training program is offered in two sessions - March 8 or April 19. The 5K training program starts either March 1 for the first session or May 3 for the second session.

Moms of all ages and fitness levels are invited to be part of the program. It offers 8 to 10 weeks of weekly coached training runs. There also are training plans tailored to ability levels; weekly educational clinics; and a private online group for motivation and discussion. I know participants also really appreciate the supportive environment and meeting with other local moms who are working toward the same goal.
