Fire displaces Durham family

A family of four was displaced Sunday morning after a large house fire.

A family of four was displaced Sunday morning after a large house fire. According to officials with the Durham Fire Department, several neighbors called 911 around 3:30 a.m. to report the fire at 820 Waring Street.

Crews extinguished the fire in about 20 minutes, but the single-story home was left with heavy fire damage to two rooms and the roof as well as smoke damage throughout the house.

Two adults and two children were displaced and are being assisted by the American Red Cross. Officials say there were no injuries.

Thee cause of the fire is under investigation.
