Fire destroys section of popular Cary restaurant

No injuries were reported early Thursday when fire destroyed a large section of a popular restaurant on Walnut Street in Cary.

Fire broke out at On the Border at about 12:20 a.m. It's unclear what caused the blaze, but the patio of the restaurant sustained heavy damage.

The restaurant will be closed Thursday, and investigators will be on scene trying to determine what caused the fire.
