Fire damages home near Clayton

Residents escaped a fire that burned the garage of their home Thursday night in the Virginia Downs Subdivision near Clayton, authorities said.

Crews from three departments found heavy fire at the home on Bristol Circle and brought it under control.

The cause of the blaze was under investigation.
