Fire damages Cary townhome

A fire damaged an unoccupied townhome off Walnut Street, near Tryon Road, early Friday.

The fire broke out in the three-unit townhouse building at 8600 Macedonia Lake Drive in the Creekside at Tryon Village subdivision around 4:30 a.m. The fire was contained to the middle townhouse, firefighters said.

No one was injured.

The building was under construction.

The cause of the fire was under investigation.
