Overnight fire damages home in Cary neighborhood, displaces 4 people

Fire crews battled flames overnight in a Cary neighborhood, where four people have been displaced from their home.

The call was dispatched at 3:46 a.m. on Saturday. Crews arrived at Branniff Drive, near Chapel Hill Rd., to find an active fire.

The home appears to have sustained major damage to multiple external walls. Several windows appeared to be broken and singed around the sides. Outside siding was burnt black in some places, and at least one external wall was almost completely burned away.

Officials are still working to determine the cause of the fire. No one was injured, according to officials.
