Kellogg's Honey Smacks linked to salmonella

The Food and Drug Administration tweeted this week concern that people are still buying Honey Smacks cereal recalled in June.

According to the tweet, the CDC is still getting reports of salmonella illness reports linked to the cereal. Officials say there are 130 confirmed infections in 34 states.

"Do NOT eat. Do NOT buy – retailers can NOT legally sell," the FDA tweeted Tuesday.

According to the FDA, customers should not purchase any Honey Smacks cereal, regardless of its best buy date. Retailers cannot legally offer the cereal for sale.
