Fayetteville shooting leaves one woman dead, another injured

One woman has died and another injured from a shooting on Tuesday evening, according to Fayetteville police.

Fayetteville police officers responded around 5:29 p.m. Tuesday to Rose Hill Road near Hilton Drive.

Authorities took both women to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center for treatment of their injuries. One of the women died from her injuries and the other received treatment for non- life-threatening injuries.

Fayetteville police are not releasing the name of the woman who died until her family is notified.
