Georgia man shot in Fayetteville dies 1 month later

A 44-year-old man has died a month after he was shot in the 1100 block of Center Street.

According to the Fayetteville Police Department, on Nov. 15 around 6:30 p.m. officers discovered Andre Allen Lewis, 44, of Georgia, inside a car and suffering from a gunshot wound.

Lewis was transported to Cape Fear Valley Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.

He died Dec. 18.

At this time, no arrests have been made. The investigation into the shooting remains ongoing.
