Fayetteville police were searching Monday afternoon for a man who authorities say robbed a Wells Fargo branch on Raeford Road.

Fayetteville police were searching Monday afternoon for a man who authorities say robbed a Wells Fargo branch on Raeford Road.

Investigators say the man, who was wearing a dark hat, light gray hooded sweatshirt, dark pants, black mask and light gray gloves, went into the bank at about 10:20 a.m.

The man handed a note to a teller saying he had a weapon and demanding money. The man left the bank on foot with an unknown amount of money.
