The man suspected of shooting of a woman at her Fayetteville home last Monday surrendered to police on Sunday.

Akeem McIver, 23, is charged with first-degree murder and robbery with a dangerous weapon.

Authorities think he is the man who approached Nekeshia D. Washington, 28, at her home in the 1600 block of Slater Avenue, shot her and ran.

Police did not say what connected McIver to Washington's murder. Officers are still investigating and say they could make more arrests in the case.
