Fresh beignets pair perfectly with rich coffee at Rue Cler in Durham.

I love going out to brunch and I'm looking forward to working on this list of five top brunch spots from WRAL.com's Out & About.

Rue Cler in Durham; Beasley's Chick + Honey in Raleigh; Crook's Corner in Chapel Hill; Watt's Grocery in Durham; and Coquette Brasserie in Raleigh make their list.

I can definitely give a thumbs up for Coquette. The quiche is amazing. My other favorite brunch spots include Humble Pie in Raleigh and Herons at The Umstead in Cary. As I shared on our Facebook page, Herons' menu is pretty reasonable (most dishes are under $20). And the staff gets high marks for creating a really memorable experience for my older daughter when we were there.

This is making me hungry!
