Another victim has come forward in the case of a former Cumberland County teacher’s assistant charged with having sexual relations with minors.
Joel Vincent Hurley, 28, of 1261 Thelbert Drive, was previously arrested on May 16, 2007 after a different person reported the abuse to a teacher.
Hurley was employed as a teacher’s assistant at Gray's Creek Middle School and also claimed to be a part-time employee with the Fayetteville-Cumberland County Parks and Recreation Department.
Hurley now faces an additional charge of taking indecent liberties with a student. He is being held in the Cumberland County Jail on $105,000 bond.
