Tuesday

Carolina Hurricanes All-Star Chef Series (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh) - The Carolina Hurricanes are teaming up with Social House Vodka to host a series of dinners featuring area chefs. Each meal will take place two hours before game time at the Arena Club Restaurant at PNC Arena. The four-course meals will include signature cocktails from guest bartenders. Tonight's dinner features chefs Katie Button and Meherwan Irani of Asheville.

Moscow Ballets Great Russian Nutcracker (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan Street, Durham) - Moscow Ballet’s Great Russian Nutcracker features over-the-top production and world class Russian artists, larger than life puppets, nesting dolls and gloriously hand-crafted costumes that bring the Christmas spirit to life. Shows continue through Thursday.

Chinese Lantern Festival (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - Bundle up to enjoy this walk through dozens of hand-painted lanterns.

Wednesday

Celeste Barber (A.F. Fletcher Opera Theater, 2 East South Street, Raleigh) - The actor, comedian and social media superstar will explain the story behind some of her most famous images, her new relationship with famous people, and the stalkers, fans and comments that get under her skin.

Trans-Siberian Orchestra (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road, Raleigh) - The show starts at 7:30 p.m.

Celtic Thunder (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - Backed by the Celtic Thunder Band, the singers of Celtic Thunder will deliver new ensemble numbers.

Thursday

Holiday Blast (Meymandi Concert Hall, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - The Triangle Brass Band brings entertaining arrangements of the music you all want to hear during the festive times of the winter.

Ira David Wood III's A Christmas Carol (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - See the holiday classic in Durham through Dec. 16.

Ugly Sweater 4th Anniversary Party (State of Beer, 401 Hillsborough Street, Raleigh) - State of Beer is releasing their own imperial stout brewed with Trophy Brewing Company. Don't forget to wear your best Christmas sweater.

NYC Comedy Invades Durham (Durty Bull Brewing, 206 Broadway Street, Durham) - Durty Bull Brewing Company presents a night of stand-up comedy from The Raybould Brothers, two real life brothers who are two of the funniest and fastest rising comedians in the NYC comedy scene. Tickets are $15 at the door.

Friday

Carolina Ballet's The Nutcracker (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - The show features a live symphony orchestra, grand magical illusions and magnificent sets and costumes.

Black Nativity (Umstead Park United Church of Christ, 8208 Brownleigh Drive, Raleigh) - Presented by the Justice Theater Project, Black Nativity by Langston Hughes is a holiday tradition.
