Monday

Geeks Who Drink Pub Quiz (Alamo Drafthouse, 2116 New Bern Avenue) - Each week, teams of up to six people compete in a trivia gauntlet for awesome Alamo prizes at Alamo Drafthouse. This event repeats weekly.

Tuesday

Many Fourth of July fireworks start tonight! Here are some big ones:

Garner Independence Day Celebration (Lake Benson Park, 921 Buffaloe Road) - Lake Benson Park will feature inflatables, games, crafts, a live concert and fireworks. Bring a picnic or enjoy delicious concessions provided by food trucks.

Morrisville Independence Day Celebration (1520 Morrisville Parkway) - Kick off your Independence Day celebration with a free fireworks display in Morrisville Community Park. Bring your blankets, chairs and snacks to enjoy the spectacular show. Food trucks will be on-site.

Wednesday

Raleigh Downtown Fireworks (PNC Arena, 1400 Edwards Mill Road) - Returning to the N.C. State Fairgrounds after six years, the annual fireworks will be launched from North Carolina State University property along Trinity Road. PNC Arena will open gates for visitors at 6 p.m., and the fireworks will begin at 9:30 p.m. Parking will be free for all visitors.

July 4th at Koka Booth (8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - There will be plenty of family-friendly activities all day, including rides and games, a venue wide scavenger hunt, magicians, face painters, watermelon eating contests and a Ferris Wheel!

Coming to America: Movie Party (Alamo Drafthouse, 2116 New Bern Avenue) - This movie party at Alamo Drafthouse puts you in a theater packed with fellow fans where you can share the joy of every favorite gag and line of dialog, with key props included in your ticket to help bring the movie magic to vivid life.

Barenaked Ladies (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell Street) - The band will play a Fourth of July show at Red Hat at 6:30 p.m.

Festival for the Eno (5101 N. Roxboro Street, Durham) - Starting on the Fourth of July and returning Saturday, the festival will showcase over 75 artists on five stages throughout the two days.

Thursday

Holly Springs Independence Day (Sugg Farm Park, 2401 Grigsby Avenue) - The fun continues with face painting, fireworks, food vendors, inflatables and rides, crafts, live music and skydiving demonstrations.

Midtown Beach Music Series (North Hills, 4321 Lassiter at North Hills Avenue) - Steve Owens & Summertime will play a free show between 6 and 9 p.m.

Imagine Dragons (Coastal Credit Union Music Park, 3801 Rock Quarry Road) - The band is headed to Raleigh for their Evolve tour.

Friday

NCMA Outdoor Movie: Darkest Hour (N.C. Museum of Art, 2110 Blue Ridge Road) - See the movie outside at the museum!

Durham Bulls: Friday Night Fireworks and Food Trucks (DBAP, 409 Blackwell Street, Durham) - Enjoy food trucks and fireworks during the game.
