There's plenty to keep you busy this week!

Monday

Songs of America: Tim McGraw and Jon Meacham (Raleigh Memorial Auditorium, 2 E. South Street, Raleigh) - As they publish their new joint book, "Songs of America," Meacham and McGraw will give an intimate, behind-the-scenes look at what went into creating this book and their friendship as they combine their individual perspectives as writer and artist to create a unique view of the role music has played in uniting and shaping our nation.

"Pavarotti" (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan Street, Durham) - "Pavarotti" is a riveting film that lifts the curtain on the icon who brought opera to the people. The film plays through Thursday.

Tuesday

Morgan Street Block Party (Trophy Brewing, 827 West Morgan Street, Raleigh) - There will be wings and beer in front of the restaurant along with house-made ice cream. The party will kick off at 4 p.m.

Father John Misty (Booth Amphitheatre, 8003 Regency Parkway, Cary) - The indie folk singer will be joined by Jason Isbell and The 400 Unit.

Patio Pairing: Sangria and Tapas (Plates Neighborhood Kitchen, 301 Glenwood Ave., Raleigh) - $19 will get you an assortment of Spanish-style tapas and a sip of each of Plates' house-made sangrias.

Wednesday

Shinedown (Red Hat Amphitheater, 500 S. McDowell St., Raleigh) - The rock band from Jacksonville, Florida will perform in downtown Raleigh.

Ali Wong (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - The actress, stand-up comic and writer is noted for her Netflix stand-up specials "Baby Cobra" (filmed when she was 7 months pregnant) and "Hard Knock Wife." She'll bring her "Milk and Money" tour to Durham for two nights.

Jubne First Friday (Gallery C, 540 N. Blount Street, Raleigh) - Meet three new artists and enjoy a night of fine art, conversation and drinks.

Thursday

Parachute (Cat's Cradle, 300 E. Main St., Carrboro) - The band is known for its classic pop, heart-felt rock and tuneful blue-eyed soul.

Dwight Yoakam (Carolina Theatre of Durham, 309 W. Morgan Street, Durham) - He has sold more than 25 million albums worldwide, and he is a 21-time nominated, multiple Grammy Award winner.

Damien Jurado (Motorco Music Hall, 723 Rigsbee Avenue, Durham) - See the Seattle-based singer and songwriter in Durham.

Throwback Thursday (The Big Easy, 222 Fayetteville St, Raleigh) - If you love music from the 90s and 2000s, Jay-Z, Britney, Biggie, Destiny's Child, and all your other favorite artists, then you don't want to miss this dance party.

Friday

Rascal Flatts (Coastal Credit Union Music Park, 801 Rock Quarry Road, Raleigh) - The country band plays Coastal Credit Union Music Park on Friday. They will be joined by Billy Currington and LOCASH.

Ultimate Queen Tribute (DPAC, 123 Vivian Street, Durham) - One of the most iconic rock anthems of all time will collide with a theatrical performance style and eye-popping production on Friday at DPAC.

Fridays on the Front Porch (Carolina Inn, 211 Pittsboro Street, Chapel Hill) - Sip on crafted cocktails while listening to live music and enjoying featured food trucks at Carolina Inn on Friday night.
