Paramore to headline first concert at Raleigh's downtown amphitheater

Bands Paramore and Tegan and Sara will be the first acts to take the stage at the Raleigh Amphitheater.

Concert promoter Live Nation announced the July 23 concert on Tuesday.

The Raleigh Amphitheater, located at McDowell and Davie streets in downtown Raleigh, has not opened yet.

The 5,000-seat outdoor venue is expected to make about $500,000 a year, City Manager Russell Allen has said.
