A performance by Iranian hip-hop artist Yas at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill has been canceled, university officials said.

Representatives for Yas said he would be unable to appear at the Sept. 17 show. The performance was part of the Carolina Performing Arts series.
Carolina Performing Arts will provide full refunds to patrons who had already purchased tickets to the performance. For information, call or visit the Memorial Hall Box Office, open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. weekdays, at 919 843-3333.
