Piedmont Distillers in Madison has placed a battle of Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine in the Grammy swag bag. It will be the only liquor and official spirit of the gift bags.

Stars attending the Grammy Awards will get a little taste of North Carolina moonshine in their gift bags this weekend.

Piedmont Distillers in Madison has placed a bottle of Catdaddy Carolina Moonshine in the Grammy swag bad. It will be the only liquor and official spirit of the gift bags.

"Over the last few years, we've had a lot of national media attention and phone calls from people all over the world who want to try Catdaddy, but we didn't realize we had made such an impact on the music community," Joe Michalek, Founder and President of Piedmont Distillers, told WRAL's sister station WFMY.

"We're really proud that Catdaddy has been given this opportunity and that a North Carolina product has received such recognition," he continued.

Michalek said he hopes the exposure will bring more recognition to his label, which is the only legal spirits distillery in the state.

The Grammys will air on WRAL-TV at 8 p.m. Sunday.
