Endangered whale spotted at Carolina Beach

Incredible photos show the moments an endangered North Atlantic right whale was spotted off our coast.

The North Carolina Aquarium at Fort Fisher shared the photos captured by a photographer and posted to Instagram.

The whale breached in the waters off Carolina Beach Sunday.

Experts said the coastal Cape Fear area to below Cape Canaveral, Florida, is a critical calving habitat for these whales.
