Dozens of employers set up shop Tuesday at Fayetteville Technical Community College for a job fair.

Even Congresswoman Renee Ellmers was on hand for the fourth annual Hire-a-Vet job fair. She spent time talking with veterans and several of the companies looking to hire them.

Ellmers says there are a number of reasons companies would benefit from having veterans on their payroll.

"It's such an important part of our job to help connect our work force with our veterans," she said. "You cannot get a better employee than a veteran, someone who's been in the military, someone who understands the importance of good work ethic, and that's what those business out there understand."

The job fair was also open to the family members of veterans and active duty service members.
