Early Spring Getaway

Where would you go for an early spring getaway? Please share your destination recommendations for what should be a delightful weekend coming up.

I polled the WRAL Morning News Team. Elizabeth Gardner suggests a getaway to either Pinehurst, Hot Springs or Yadkin Valley wineries. Elizabeth says we should resist the temptation to expect too much warmth out of the coast this time of year.  You could try a spot slightly inland for a nice sojourn.  Kelcey Carlson says she would head to Wilmington. There's a lot to do and great seafood in the Port City. Kelcey and family would do the Cape Fear River walk and maybe a carriage ride.

Brian Shrader recommends a train trip to Charlotte and some great Southern cooking at Dish, a popular Queen City restaurant.

My recommendation is pottery country - a jaunt from Jugtown to Seagrove. If I were going out of state I'd probably go with Charleston for some low country cuisine.
