Durham woman charged with DWI after crashing into power pole on Leon Street
Shortly after 3 a.m., officers responded to a crash in the 800 block of Leon Street. Officers said a blue Dodge Journey crashed into a power pole. The driver, Chanelle Hester, 38, of Durham, has been charged with driving while impaired.
Leon Street was closed Sunday after a car crashed and knocked down a power pole.

Leon Street between Duke Street and Glendale Avenue was closed for several hours while crews worked to replace the power pole.
No one was injured.
