Durham summer camp registration set for March 27

Durham Parks and Recreation will open registration for its summer camps on Monday, March 27, a 9 a.m.

The department has a variety of camps for children ages 5 to 17.

Summer camp registration is available on a first-come, first-serve basis.

Online registration can be done 24 hours a day. In-person registration will be available at the Administration Office Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. and at Recreation Centers during facility operating hours.

Children ages 5-12 enjoy fitness fun, arts and crafts, friendship-building activities, swimming, day trips, and much more at our Youth Summer Camps.

The teen summer connect camp, open to those 13 to 17, will provide an opportunity for Durham teens to engage in age-appropriate activities focused on a particular interest. Youth and teen camps will be held Tuesday, June 20 through Friday, August 18, 2023.

Youth Summer Camps

There is an energy and magic to summer camp that cannot be replicated! Friends, experiences, and memories to last a lifetime! DPR's Youth Summer Camps are designed for school-aged children ages 5-12.

By September 1, 2022, the camper must have completed kindergarten and turned 5 years old, and cannot be older than 12 years of age.

In-Betweeners Camp

Looking for a safe and fun camp experience for your “Tween” ages 12-14 this summer? At our "In-Betweeners" camp we help participants develop a positive sense of self, learn a variety of leadership and life skills, and have fun! The camp is packed with fun, interactive activities that take place indoors, outdoors, on-site and off-site.

Teen Summer Connect Camp

Tuesday, June 20 - Friday, August 18, 2023
7:30 a.m. - 3 p.m.

Teen Summer Connect Camp is for campers currently enrolled in middle school or high school (Ages 13-17) and is designed to immerse campers in a variety of fun and inclusive activities tailored specifically to their ages and interests. Space is limited.

By September 1, 2022, the camper must be 13 years old, and cannot be older than 17.
