Durham sandwich shop closes after less than year

After being open less than six months, a Durham sandwich shop has closed its doors.
Wedgie's opened in February on the ground floor of the Diamond View III building at the American Tobacco Campus.
"It is with a heavy heart that we announce the closing of Wedgie's Durham location effective Friday, July 28," owners Joe and Cindy Gay wrote in a note posted on the restaurant's front door.

Wedgie's flagship location in Southern Pines remains open.
Capitol Broadcasting Company owns American Tobacco Campus as well as WRAL.
