Durham Public Schools says all bus routes covered Tuesday

Durham parents will be happy to know all bus routes are covered Tuesday morning, the district said.

"All bus routes are covered this morning," Durham Public Schools (DPS) said Tuesday morning on Facebook.

Initially, the district asked parents to be prepared to find transportation for students on Tuesday.

"Our transportation situation continues to change, and we ask that you continue to assist in transporting your students to and from school," the district said Monday night in a press release.

After weeks of issues, DPS families were asked to find alternate transportation for their kids on Monday. 25 bus routes didn’t run Monday.

The district said staffing challenges caused this. WRAL News is working to find out if this is related to the recent pay issues with the district.

Parents can go to the district’s website or the Edulog’s Parent Portal to check on bus routes.
