Durham police are asking for the public’s help in finding a woman involved in an assault and a larceny from a city council meeting at Durham City Hall the night of Feb. 5.

A woman told officers she was holding an Israeli flag at the meeting when another woman took her flag and dragged her across the floor.

The offense happened during the protest of the Israel-Hamas war with a group interrupting a council meeting to demand a cease-fire resolution.

Woman linked to assault, larceny in Durham
Police are looking for a woman involved in an assault and larceny that occurred at a Durham City Council meeting on Feb. 5.

The woman who was victimized had minor injuries.

The assault is under investigation.
