Durham Montessori school plans tour, open house

The Montessori Community School will open its door to prospective families in the next couple of weeks.

Here's what's scheduled:

• 9:15 a.m. to 11:15 a.m., Feb. 21, admissions tour and information session. The school's admissions director gives a brief overview of Montessori education, describes the application process, answers questions, and gives a tour of Montessori Community School. Information sessions will be held at Montessori Community School at 4512 Pope Road in Durham from 9:15 a.m. -11:15 a.m. These sessions are for prospective parents only. Children are welcome to attend Open Houses. Please RSVP at 919-493-8541, space is limited.
• 2 p.m. to 4 p.m., March 4, Admissions Open House. The head of school and admissions director will explain the application process, answer questions, and open classrooms for tours. Visitors can talk with teachers, program directors and current parents. The Open House will be held at Montessori Community School, 4512 Pope Rd., Durham. Prospective parents and their children are invited to attend. RSVP is not required.
